FIR TREE AERIAL MAPS (BRIEF DESCRPTION)

Hand painted by Richard Chandler, these are maps of scenic parts of Ireland combining original artwork with an accurate and attractive aerial view of the landscape.

The maps are printed on high quality art paper and measure 420 x 594mm A2 SIZE.

The maps are also available encapsulated in 70 micron lamination.



The Fir Tree Series of Irish landscapes have been created by Cartographic Artist, Richard Chandler. He has been fascinated with Ireland’s beautiful landscapes since his first visit in 1969.

After discovering that he had a natural ability for this type of work he has made it his quest to produce maps of as many Irish landscapes as possible.
Each map has taken up to a year to complete and can only be described as a true labour of love!
The original of each map has been HAND PAINTED using Ordnance Survey mapping as a modelling base. The end result is a very attractive 3 dimensional view of the landscape that is accurate yet enhanced by the artist to show the landscape in a clearer and more attractive format than say aerial photography.
Places of interest and place names are shown in clear text.
